The weekend started off on Friday night with a birthday party for Martin down at Ogiya:
On Saturday, Ayako and I went for a 2-hour drive to Irago peninsula to go for a hike. Here is Ayako, just before the hike, having lunch:
There were a number of fishermen along the beach fishing, but we could also see some fishermen in more adventurous places. Can you spot the fisherman in this next picture?
Or in this one?
We had a 3-hour hike along the peninsula. We had some good view from the top of the cliffs at the beginning:
Here is a shot of where we were heading:
At the tip of the peninsula, we took some photos by the lighthouse...and then started the long walk back:
It was overcast all day, but it was better weather than Sunday (raining all day) so I'm glad we went when we did.

Camping & a movie
last weekend, Ayako and I went to see the new Indiana Jones movie. It was the best Indiana Jones movie I've ever seen, but then again, it was also my first. We usually only go to the movie theatres twice a year since it costs $18 per person. But luckily for us, it was only $10 per person this day and luckily on a Saturday as well as being the opening day of the movie as well.
We then went camping in Forest Park. We've gone camping the past two years at this time to see the fireflies. We met Rory, Julia, and their baby girl Indigo. We got lucky again to see some fireflies at night and were lucky that the weather was beautiful even though we're in the "rainy season". Sorry, no photos of fireflies this year.
