Posters

I had been trying to look around for posters to put on my wall but could never find any nice ones that I liked. After another commented that my walls looked very bare, I decided just to purchase some posters that I liked from the internet. In the end, it was much easier this way and probably cheaper in the end. The posters I got were, the famous wave picture by Hokusai: A nice photo of a lake in autumn that looks like Ontario (but was taken in Maine):
Three Hiroshige pictures. Two of which have Mt. Fuji in them:The small pictures were easy to find cheap frames for, but I had to have this next large picture by Jackson Pollock framed at a store. I'm happy I have a large print by him in my home now:

Apartment set up

I've got most of my apartment set up now except for not having any pictures on the walls yet.
This is my bedroom:
Next is from my bedroom, looking into my extra room. It now has a mini pool table and a desk, but soon I will have a TV set up in there and hopefully get a sofa there as well. Since I've got an extra room now, feel free to come visit me in Japan and let me show you around my wonderful city.^^
And here's some shots of my living room and kitchen:

Cards

Yesterday, I went with a friend to the one of the public libraries near my house. There are actually 11 public libraries in the city. So I signed upand got myself a library card and took out 2 books already.
And here is my card for the supermarket, which lets me collect points there, but more importantly, it gives me free filtered water:

Hanko

So the above image is my name stamp (called "hanko" or "inkan" here). The 3 symbols spell out the name Andy, which I use as my name here. Each symbol also has its own meaning here which I'm not going to go into here. I need my stamp to used along side my name for such things signing up for a phone, documents at the bank, etc.
So now that I have my name stamp, I was also able to get a bank account and a cell phone.
