This post starts off with the mystery of the floating hat:
But before we reveal the secret, we will start with Ayako and I going to Sanaru Lake in our city to watch our friend, Eiki, in a regatta held by his company, Yamaha.
We unfortunately showed up too late to see Eiki in his race, but did get to watch him in a rowing race on land:
Luckily, there was also a air show on at the same time. There is a self-defense air force base in my city and so having fighter jets streaming overhead is nothing new. But this time they made pictures of hearts, rainbows and other designs:
In the evening, we had some friends over for a BBQ. It was mighty windy outside, so we ate inside:
We had a good time talking and playing games, including the game, drop the hat on Ayako's head (which looks like the start of a magic trick here):
Sam and I tried many times to get a picture so that it looked like the hat was floating on Ayako's head. This was as good a shot as I could get:
On Sunday, Ayako had three friends from high school over to our house. They had a fun time visiting for the first time.
